The thickness of the cushion depends on the filling material. Our latex foam cushion is 2.5″ thick, which works well for standard chair and table heights. Although the Shaker chair has evolved into many designs, even ultra-modern interpretations, it is still the iconic gently curving Shaker design with tapered legs and seats made from woven rush or cane.

The seats are usually proportionally smaller than those of other chairs. This makes it difficult to find cushions for them.

Whether they’re +100 years old antiques or postwar vintage, they all have armrests and low backs. Since the mid-century, they have been used to furnish the entire table.
