The first thing to do is prepare your home. “Make sure your house is ready to be shown, and you feel really good and proud of it,” Lee advises. Lee. In contrast to other parties at the house, the rooms shouldn’t be restricted to guests. “I think that the purpose of a housewarming celebration is that people want to tour the new house and walk around the place. So, be confident about the spaces… Every room should be accessible and easy to access,” Lee advises. This means that every area inside your home should be prepared for guests. This is the first opportunity to invite family members to be part of the new space together. The energy they bring will influence your feelings about your new home, so choose carefully. “I think it’s really about the people who will warm your house… That’s the most important at the end of the day,” Lee says. Make Sure the Party Reflects Who You Are
Everything from the entertainment and the setting in the dining room and the drinks you serve must reflect your personality and what you like to do. “Like any other party, it reflects what the homeowner is all about,” “HTML0,” says Lee. For instance, if you are a gardener, give a short tour of the home and let guests out to enjoy the outdoor space (and your new plants) for the remainder of the event. Don’t Bite Off More Than You Can, Chew
Lee frequently observes clients believing they have everything they need when everyone could require assistance organizing an event. “I believe that people are trying to accomplish too much. We’re all our own superheroes,” she said. One way to ensure you’re prepared for the housewarming celebration is to create a thorough list to refer back to. Lee recommends including items such as “set music at low volume,” “ensure bathrooms are open and ready for guests,” “light a scented candle,” and “display freshly cut flowers.” Lee advises that doing this will keep you on track during the celebration.
Don’t Overthink It
Be careful not to go too far with your decorations and party games. There’s only a need to fret about having activities and games for guests if it’s something you’re interested in making plans for and playing in (and believe that your guests will, too). “The point of the housewarming is to get people together,” Lee says. If it has significance for you and reflects what you stand for and who you are, then consider it as your guests will appreciate it,” says Lee. It could be as simple as offering flowers from your yard or Polaroid images taken at the celebration.
